SHERRY ASHWORTH


Sherry Ashworth is a novelist who writes both adult and teenage fiction and non-fiction. An English teacher since 1977, she still teaches part-time in a secondary school. She broadcasts as a freelance on Radio 4, abridges children's books for the BBC and writes features as a freelance. She is also a visiting author in schools and libraries.
Winner of North East Book Award 2004 and shortlisted for Lancashire Book of the Year Award 2004, her book Something Wicked was the runner-up for Wirral Paperback of the Year.
She has both taught creative writing and visited schools as an author regularly since May 2002.
