A storyteller with over 20 years national and international experience, Taffy is at ease with all types of audience - from formal performances to festivals to children’s workshops.
His wide repertoire means a programme of stories can be collated for just about any event.
He founded the legendary folk theatre company Magic Lantern which travelled throughout Europe and the rural community arts companies Charivari and Dancetales.
He is currently artistic director of the Northern Centre for Storytelling.
In the 2001 New Year Honours List, he was awarded the MBE for services to storytelling and charity.
In October 2009 Taffy accepted the honorary position of first Laureate for Storytelling for two years from January 2010 to January 2012.
