Workshops and readings

Glyn has given readings and performances at venues all over the country, and has appeared at many literature festivals. In Autumn 1999 he was Writer in Residence for one month for the Aldeburgh Poetry Festival in Suffolk.

He has led workshops in schools and community venues of all kinds.
He acted as one of the mentors on the Writers' Attachment Scheme in 1999.

Glyn's workshops are often based around rhythm, which can enable children to connect poetry with their own musical culture. Group and individual pieces are written in parallel, and where time allows these are woven together with the help of musical instruments, using sounds and rhythms created by the children themselves.

"Finished products were excellent and the children were inspired.
Glyn has high expectations of even the less able pupils."

Cowley High School

"You have taught me some new tricks to add to my repertoire.
Your influence will go far beyond the classes you saw."
