Space Workshops, Story Reading and Writing Workshops.
Stephen is the writer of the Space-themed Astrobods series of children’s picture books. The Astrobods books help to engage young children in space and literacy. Each book also has a theme conversant with PSHE.
The Space and Story Reading workshops are ideal for children in Year’s 1,2 & 3. The workshops last between 40 and 50 minutes and start with a tour of the Universe, this is followed by stories from the Astrobods series and a Q & A session covering writing, reading, and space. Stephen also has a number of writing workshops, space themed and otherwise, for children in the age range 6 – 11. (workshops can be tailored to suit the needs of the school)
Stephen is also happy to carry out adult writing workshops – these can be tailored for those wishing to write for children or adults.
Stephen has an MA in Screenwriting and has just completed an MA in Creative Writing. He has been writing for many years, firstly as a member of Liverpool Playwright’s group and latterly as a children’s author. In 2010, he won the Ted Walters International Writing Competition (Playwrights Section). In 2011 he has been involved in BBC’s Stargazing LIVE project as a workshop presenter.

ASTROBODS |
There are nine Astrobods books, one for each of the eight major planets and one for dwarf planet, Pluto. These books contain engaging stories, help children connect with space, establish PSHE themes and are an invaluable aid to literacy.
