SPELLS

A calming spell

Take the wings from an ant,
a smooth red pebble from a beach
and the juices of an oyster.
Place them into a big pot
and stir for five minutes.
Add a golden key from a King's palace,
a pearl from the sea
and a ghost from a haunted castle.
Take a zip from a new silk cushion
and the moan from the wind.
Freeze for thirty five minutes
then attach to the classroom wall.
When the class inhale the fumes
they will turn into well-mannered children
.

A Spell to turn a Doctor into a Ring

Take the egg of a goose and crack it
on the door of the doctor's bathroom.
Trip through the doorway and
break his favourite mirror.
Ask a child to pick up the pieces
and juggle them in the air.
When the child drops the pieces
the doctor will stand on them
and turn into a golden ring.

Stagnant root of Kangaroo's tongue
set the clock to half past one

Stagnant root of snake's eye
make me a spaceship that can fly

Stagnant root of eagle's feather
make me vanish all together

To make money grow on trees

Travel thirty days without an arrow
then pick a feather from a fierce eagle.
Stew it in a large cup
with a small bag of lavender.
Dig a hole in your yard,
put this mixture in the hole,
surround it with silk.
When the tree is in full bloom
give the tree a kiss with your lips
and the next day it will grow money.

Take three mouldy mushrooms
Throw them out the window in a rubber glove
To land by a spider's web
Wrapped in cabbage leaves
To make your shadow talk.

To make me talk to the animals

Take a green leaf and a red stone
Put them in an old tin kettle with a hole in it
bury it in a dark place
for a year
and when it snows
dig it up
put the leaf on the floor
under the stone
and you will be able to talk to
the first animal to touch them.

Take the fear from a ghost
add a trickle of despair.
Take the head from a dead frog
and throw it in the air.
Take the curve from a rainbow
and go for a walk:
then the first horse you meet
will be able to talk.
